BPC Meeting (External Competition) – Qualification Match for Junior Internationals
BPC Meeting Bisley
The British Pistol Club (BPC) Meeting is a monthly competition run at the Lord Roberts Centre, Bisley, the home of the NSRA (UK Governing body). The meetings are small scale competitions and provide new athlete’s with a great entry level match at an elite range whilst giving experienced athletes a great opportunity to train in match conditions.
The competition is shot over Saturday and Sunday. It is a 10m pistol 60 shot match with no final. You are also able to shoot the competition more than once and if you do so on the same day, there is no extra charge. On Sunday there is also a 25m pistol match. This format is very similar to Pony Club. If you are using a Steyr, your gun will be able to shoot that distance.
At the meeting in May, GO Sport staff will be attending to support members. There is a sign up sheet at the notice board at the range or alternatively you can express your interest by messaging in the new WhatsApp group, emailing competitions@gosport.wales or messaging Geraint on Facebook.
There is potentially some accommodation available. If you are interested please speak to Geraint.
Qualification Competition for the Junior Internationals
This competition will also serve as a qualification match for our members to represent Team GO Sport at the highly prestigious Junior Internationals in Bisley, Surrey. The JI’s will see the regional teams from the West Midlands & South East England, as well as the national teams from England, Scotland, Wales, UK Scouts, South Africa and USA.
This year team GO Sport has set a Minimum Qualifying Score (MQS) of 500 at a competition (for those doing the Grand Prix, it is an average of 480 across the 3 rounds)
